Lessons In Person Have Started

Many thanks To the kind folks at River Rock Outfitter in Downtown Fredericksburg, VA. We have started teaching an Introduction to fly tying class. The classes are scheduled on Saturday mornings and are held in the courtyard behind the store. This magnificent venue is an Intimate and relaxing place for a hands on session with me.

If you would like to come, class size is limited so I can give individual attention to all the students. you do not need any tying materials or tools. I will provide them.

Dont Miss the AppalachIan Fly Fishing Festival on May 30th and 31st, 2026 in Thomas West VA. I will be there tying flies all day. Terry Cummings will be giving casting demonstrations throught the weekend. We will be at the Fly Fishers International Booth. Then on May 30th starting at 6PM we will host the "Bugs and Suds" at The Big Timber Logging Camp Brewery. This Brewery Is "Just across the river and down a piece" in Davis West Va. There will be fun and games. Bring you tying gear and let's have fun at this great brewery. I had thier larger last year and its fantastic!

My Good friend and fishing Guide, Matt Spaid and I will Host a Bugs and Suds at The Box office Brewery in Strasburg Va. This fun will be a Sunday event, June 28th, 2026 from 1-5pm. Again we will have fun and games as well as prizes to be won. Great food and brews all in a historic theater. stay after the event for open Mic. ( imight even do a Magic trick at the open mic)
