Here In VA spring has started after a prolonged cold period. The gigantic sheet of ice in front of the house has melted. Now I get to see the damage that was done to the flower bed and the work needed after the driveway repairs we had done just before the cold snap. Already The show season has been awesome here. After a very busy family holiday, we are back to work. January finds me at the start of the show season. October found me streamside at Cedar Creek in Star Tannery, VA. I was able to hook into a couple of Bruisers. The section I generally fish is well stocked with Rainbow and Browns with a few wild Brookies making Their way down from the mountain. I hooked up first on a Grey Moose dry with a Spicey Olive Dropper. This gal was about an 18 in rainbow. I however flopped when netting. The next one was on a Royal Wolfe with a Rock caddis Dropper.
