The Spring Has Officially Arrived!
Here In VA spring has started after a prolonged cold period. The gigantic sheet of ice in front of the house has melted. Now I get to see the damage that was done to the flower bed and the work needed after the driveway repairs we had done just before the cold snap. Already The show season has been awesome here. The Virginia Wine and Fly Fishing Festival was a huge success. I tied flies and met people both days at the Chesapeake Council Of Fly Fishers International booth. I

The Holidays Are Over, Show Season Has Started.
After a very busy family holiday, we are back to work. January finds me at the start of the show season. Jan 9th and 10th Ill be at the Virginia Wine and Fly Fishing Festival as the tying representative for February 14th, I will be at the 36th Annual Rapidan Chapter of Trout Unlimited Fly Fishing Show. Fall Is here!
October found me streamside at Cedar Creek in Star Tannery, VA. I was able to hook into a couple of Bruisers. The section I generally fish is well stocked with Rainbow and Browns with a few wild Brookies making Their way down from the mountain. I hooked up first on a Grey Moose dry with a Spicey Olive Dropper. This gal was about an 18 in rainbow. I however flopped when netting. The next one was on a Royal Wolfe with a Rock caddis Dropper. What happened to October? I got back from the FFI gathering in Grand Rapids and jumped right into planning the Rapidan chapter of TU October meeting. We it's official im the chapter president for the next two years. November's meeting is all set and the executive meeting is done. As for fly tying. I have sent my silver skills fies to my evaluator.
