Here In VA spring has started after a prolonged cold period. The gigantic sheet of ice in front of the house has melted. Now I get to see the damage that was done to the flower bed and the work needed after the driveway repairs we had done just before the cold snap. Already The show season has been awesome here. The Virginia Wine and Fly Fishing Festival was a huge success. I tied flies and met people both days at the Chesapeake Council Of Fly Fishers International booth.

I got to meet some new Fly Tiers and made some great new friends as well. The Rapidan Chapter of Trout Unlimited show was heavily visited. Not as many people donated this year though so we will asses that show and see what we need to change.

Next up is the Trout Unlimited South Eastern Rendezvous then the Appalachian Fly Fishing Festival In Thomas West Virginia. I will once again be there to represent The Chesapeake Council of Fly Fishers International at their booth Tying flies during the day. I will also be the host of the Bugs and Suds being held that Saturday night at The Big Timber Logging Camp-Brewery.

I'm also Very happy to announce that My Fly The Grey Moose was selected as a Fly of the Month, in the January edition of the Fly Tying Group's News letter. Pictures of the fly and the steps to tie the fly are now published!
